The Elephant Hills Resort is the only hotel in Victoria Falls with a golf course – an 18-hole championship gold course. It was designed to be one of the leading resorts in the resort town of Vic Falls. It is found on the Zimbabwean side of the boarder with Zambia. The hotel is some 20 to 30 minutes drive from Victoria Falls International Airport. When coming from the airport to the resort, guests pass through Victoria Falls town center.

Since it was built over a decade ago, other resorts have emerged in Victoria Falls such as the Safari Club. In comparison to the newer resorts, Elephant Hills is in clear need of refurbishing. At the time of writing in May 2013 plans were afoot to “modinise” the hotel. It is because of this need for refurbishment that many guests have noted the same in reviews.

Despite the above mentioned shortfalls, the hotel commands considerable respect among many travelers certainly because of its fantastic location close to the Zambezi River. Rave reviews are likely to increase after the scheduled refurbishment. The hotel is situated some 4kms from the falls. Even from that distance guests can clearly see the mist/spray from the falls from room balconies.

Hotel staff is remarkably professional, friendly and helpful. The staff is often ready to go out of their way to accommodate guest requests. This is the feeling one gets even with shuttle drivers. The entire staff is committed to a high level of service.

The hotel has a shuttle bus that takes guests to the falls a few minutes drive away. There are also available private taxis that can take guests to the falls and other places of attraction.

276 Rooms: 11 executive suites + 1 deluxe + amenities

Elephant Hills Resort has six floors that accommodates the massive 276 rooms. All rooms are en-suite, have air-corn, Satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities. Even the standard rooms at the hotel are specious and have a balcony each. The space in the rooms is something that is highly appreciated by many guests to the hotel. The beds are also very comfortable. From the balcony of higher level rooms, guests can clearly see the Zambezi River rushing down headlong to the Falls 4kms away. From the upper rooms it is also possible to get a clear view of Livingstone town across the Zambezi, across the boarder in Zambia.

Many Elephant Hills rooms allows occupants to have a sweeping panoramic view of the National Park were animals such as elephants, Impalas, baboons and warthogs are often in complete view. One of the key amenities highlights at the hotel is its swimming pools. These are well maintained sparkling pools any guest would appreciate on a hot Vic Falls day. The grounds are also lush green including the golf course which is also a favorite playground for many wild animals. The resort was built with a strong bias towards on-site leisure activities.

Guests can access a wide range of on-site sporting related activities such as tennis, squash and volleyball. The resort also offers bike excursions were-by guests can get a bike to take to the vast golf course. This is an easy and convenient way to exercise as well as see animals wondering across the golf course.

This lounge offers a unique dinning experience offering a relaxed environment in which to seat back and enjoy the falls.
